Hello! Thank you for being here.

I’m Amy Polly (AKA The Mindfulness Rebel). Welcome to my world... it’s mostly pink, very caring, and a little bit cheeky. Feel free to come on in and get comfy, everyone is welcome.

Mindfulness is my thing, I absolutely love it, I’ve been practicing for nearly ten years and long story short, it’s been a game changer. I am a mindfulness teacher, speaker and author, mental health speaker, advocate and campaigner, with mindfulness sitting at the core of everything that I do.

There are still so many misconceptions around mindfulness. It isn’t just meditation. It is a brain training. It’s a tool that can help in so many areas of life. I am here to bust the myths because not only can it help with managing our own mental health, but it can absolutely be a force for change when it comes to organisational culture and mental health too.

I am not a zen robot, I am a human being, just like you. I wanted to rebel against all this empty your mind BS and create my own realistic and down to earth mindfulness-based approach for mental health and well-being, so that’s what I did!

I have a corporate background as a fully qualified accountant, working in practice, as well as in the private and public sector, and I gave all that up after almost 20 years.

My most recent role was sitting on the leadership team in the Fire Service managing three departments as well as strategic lead for mental health and well-being, working on the creation and delivery of our wellbeing strategy.

My training in mental health, my role in fire, my position as a leader, my volunteer work at a mental health charity, and my qualification as a mindfulness teacher, led me to my passion; sharing the positive and lasting impact that mindfulness can bring to individuals, schools and the workplace, if delivered in the correct way, and treated as an investment rather than a token gesture.

I have a real passion for breaking down barriers and making my courses inclusive and accessible, nothing is regurgitated, I learn about my audience and tailor to their needs.

If you are looking to create or improve your organisations mental health and well-being strategy, or you’d like a session to bring a team or leaders together, or maybe you’d like to have a mindfulness programme as part of your mental health strategy, please get in touch here.

If you are a busy founder (aka solo entrepreneur / small business owner / self employed / forgotten one), please head here.

Or of you’d like me to come and talk about being a mental health inbetweener and helping others through hearing my journey and the power of mindfulness, please don’t hesitate to give me a shout here.

What about the author bit I hear you ask?

Well, I have also written a book! ‘My Mindfulness Journal’. One for Children with a full supporting adults’ guide, and one for us adults too.

This came from a friend asking how to better communicate with her child and start practicing mindfulness… and the journal was born (much easier than my other little bundle of joy). The adult’s journal soon followed as I wanted something to help people start to incorporate mindfulness into their life in a beautiful and simple way with all the information they would need to get going.

I now have the wonderful job of visiting schools with the journals, to help children start practicing mindfulness.
